I went to this really great Szechuan restaurant on 39th street. Some of the best crab rangoon ever, and a truly excellent orange beef. And then I walked out without my box of leftovers. By the time I got back, they had thrown it away. Grrr. But a great little place.

So, the problem with my internet upstairs seems to be not that I'm losing connection, but that my connection speed slows to a crawl. I am getting transfer speeds of 500 B/s, at the low end, to 95,000 B/s at the high end. I don't know why its fluctuating so much, and I'm not really sure what to do about it. With such slow speeds, it makes it nearly impossible to actually use an internet browser, because it always times out before loading anything.
Something to work on, though.

I just removed 1/2 an inch from my wallet by culling the old cards, receipts, and other detritus which had accumulated there. Its still an inch thick, and I need a new one, and I've stopped carrying it in my back pocket for a long time (since sitting on 1.5 inches tends to throw the hips out of alignment), but there it is. I almost feel productive.

What's really frustrating about this is my laptop works. My sister's computer works. But the desk top, which until a few days ago worked perfectly, does not work.

My sisters computer contracted a virus. That sucks, but we thought we got rid of it. Then we had to get rid of it again, and finally, we gave the harddrive to our stepfather to isolate and fix. He needs to order the right isolator, so in the meantime we are getting the harddrive back.
This is a good thing, because without the harddrive, our wireless seems to be at a low ebb. It might be the router, or something else, but with a functional computer, we might be able to get it working again, and I can have internet on my desk top, rather than just my laptop.

I got a haircut! My first of the new decade, and in a long, long while. The last two plays I was in wanted me to have longer hair, so I didn't cut it, and I'm not sure when last year my last cut was. March, maybe? Earlier? I don't know.

Dog troubles.
My sister's dog George bit her dog Vincent in the paw this morning, hard enough to leave puncture wounds and a pronounced limp.
I took the dogs to the groomers to get them bathes, because they were all stinky, and the groomer managed to cut the blood vessel on another one of Vincent's paw nails.
Georgia snapped at the groomer, despite having spent a lot of time there before my sister adopted her.
We also learned that Vincent is just too pee-happy when dealing with situations like that, requiring a second bath.
The printer ran out of paper at the groomers, meaning delay. I offered to drive home to get some for them, but they found some more in the store somewhere.
I think Vincent peed in my car, but it might just be melted snow. Hard to say.
Walking all three of them was a chore, and Georgia had to be carried about half way because the cold just eats into her little feet.
Max, comparatively, is a dream, and really really soft now.

But I was crafty, and I bought one that actually fits into my personal planner notebook which I love so much, but into which the planner I bought last year would not fit. Its been fun to go through and begin filling out dates that I know about now.
